Illuminet is proud to announce that its Products division has achieved certification to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Standard for the design, development, sale and delivery of consulting, training services and software. ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard that specifies requirements for an effective quality management system, requiring companies to evidence their ability to provide products and services consistently and reliably that meet their customer’s requirements. This helps organizations continually monitor and manage quality across their business as well as identifying areas for improvement.
The certification process required the division to be independently assessed by BSI (British Standards Institution), against the management system standard to demonstrate commitment to quality and assurance. The process required the team to define, document and assess all of their processes. This included quality management system development, a management system documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and the resolution of non-conformances through corrective action plans. BSI then completed a rigorous audit and evaluation process before certification was achieved.
